I would like to give a review. Having been a nurses aid for 20 years a and a DSP 2 for ten, I have seen a lot of caregivers who just don't care all that much. So placing our mom in nursing care was very scarey. Luckily her doctor had the insight to have us consider fransiscan. We were of course worried she would not have the loving care and attention she was used to at home, and that she would not do well. Happily I am reporting this to be such a wonderful place. The staff is caring and attentive, always reporting to us any changes, however small. I am, as my sister is so very pleased to find out there are people who care, and that the nursing home atmosphere has really changed since my sister and I both worked as cna's in the 80s. I sincerely hope this to be true in all nursing homes. With that said I'd like to take this opportunity to give a shout out to the staff at fransiscan in merced, ca. I am so thankful to all of them. And I am happy to report my mom seems to be adjusting fairly well, this being a huge change, something she has never been comfortable with. Thank you again to all you loving caregivers at fransiscan! We truly appreciate you so much.
