Regretably, Church Hospital Corporation ended its hospital services in December, 1999. The hospital buildings have been replaced with residential housing. The original building (site of Edgar Allen Poe's death) remains (due to its historic nature) but has been renovated into housing. The medical office building and multi-level parking lot were sold to the Johns Hopkins Hospital, the current owner and operator.
